Radio academy

We promised ourselves we'd keep this going all year after the initial post, so here we are - the last.fm three month scrobble lists for artist and track for six radio stations of the heart.

Radio 1

1 Pendulum 195
2 Florence + The Machine 192
3 Tinie Tempah 188
4 Biffy Clyro 185
5 Dizzee Rascal 161
6 Vampire Weekend 150
7 Kelis 149
8 Plan B 147
9 Scouting for Girls 146
10 You Me At Six 144
11 Marina & the Diamonds 140
12 Jason Derulo 138
13 Muse 137
13 Example 137
15 Mumford & Sons 135
16 Roll Deep 134
17 Diana Vickers 130
18 Ellie Goulding 127
19 Lady Gaga 123

21 Professor Green 118
22 30 Seconds to Mars 116
23 Pixie Lott 115
23 The Pretty Reckless 115
25 Paramore 112
25 Rihanna 112
27 Lostprophets 110
27 Boys Like Girls 110
29 Paolo Nutini 102
30 Kele 98

The Pretty Reckless, who sound like someone once heard a Courtney Love solo record through a wall, are a band we never came across except on NME TV - mainstream, we know, but they used to playlist Mini Viva - and it turns out they're fronted by Taylor Momsen, who's... dunno, some sort of actress? Anyway, Pendulum have put their songs out again, so they're back back back.

1 Pendulum – Watercolour 156
2 Biffy Clyro – Bubbles 138
3 Tinie Tempah – Frisky 129
4 Dizzee Rascal – Dirtee Disco 126
5 Roll Deep – Good Times 117
6 The Pretty Reckless – Make Me Wanna Die 114
6 Example – Kickstarts 114
8 You Me At Six – Liquid Confidence 113
9 Professor Green – I Need You Tonight 108
10 Kelis – Acapella 105
11 Boys Like Girls – Love Drunk 104
12 Jason Derulo – Ridin' Solo 98
13 Marina & the Diamonds – I Am Not a Robot 97
13 Diana Vickers – Once 97
15 Florence + The Machine – Dog Days Are Over 95
16 Kele – Tenderoni 93
16 Eminem – Not Afraid 93
18 Mumford & Sons – Roll Away Your Stone 91
19 Scouting for Girls – This Ain't A Love Song 90
19 Big Boi – Shutterbug 90
21 Ellie Goulding – Guns And Horses 89
22 Plan B – She Said 84
23 Vampire Weekend – Holiday 82
24 3OH!3 – Don't Trust Me 76
25 B.o.B – Nothin' On You 75
26 All Time Low – Lost In Stereo 73
27 Pixie Lott – Turn it Up 71
28 K'naan – Wavin' Flag 70
28 Rihanna – Te Amo 70
28 B.O.B. / Bruno Mars – Nothin' On You 70

What a horrible song title Liquid Confidence is. And also Professor Green in there, who seems to have taken as his artistic inspiration that run of dance hits sampling hugely obvious 80s records at overt length. Maybe if he keeps at it for long enough he'll repurpose Ay Ay Ay Ay Moosey.

You Wanted A Hit isn't even the single, don't know what's gone on there. We've genuinely, as we sit here, never heard of Foster The People, The Ropes, Class Actress or Glass. Either NME Radio is far ahead of us, in which case we resign, or it's clutching at straws in a time of confusion, in which case we have succeeded.

I'm from Manchester and I've heard of Glass. The Bravest Thing is a tune. Maybe you should resign ha ha! FYI - www.glasshq.co.uk

One out of four still isn't majority decisiveness.
