In shops tomorrow: 18/12

Won't keep you long. Apart from noticing that there's a DJ mix album out by Stonebridge ("described by Sir Walter Scott as... Stonebridge!"), the only album of any note whatsoever is fairly basic affordable rights punk compilation Pretty Vacant. There's also really only one single we'd suggest you buy in a normal week released too, but it is by someone we suspect you, the STN reader, has long thought we're in the pay of, Jeremy Warmsley. Dirty Blue Jeans caps off a year where we've admired his singles, adored his album and nearly seen him live on three seperate occasions, and he's putting the effort in for this one, a 500-copy limited edition 7" which is packaged in blue denim and comes with a DVD of the album's four singles, while the B-side is the winner of the short story-into-lyrics competition he ran a few months ago. Even the video's a cut above (the YouTube version doesn't seem to be working, so try the old PC/Mac broadcast media through Contactmusic)
