Darren Hayman - The Ship's Piano
A Darren Hayman piano ballads album should be touch and go but it’s basically no different from a Hayman acoustic ballads album, that is to say intelligent warmly expressed. It, like this, is called The Ship’s Piano and is out, ooh, October? Hayman has just brought out a double A side from the January Songs project, half of which was the Elizabeth Morris-voiced I Know I Fucked Up, and will follow with a Christmas EP. It’s September 12th and I’m linking to a Christmas EP.
