    rarely have I gone from hating to loving a song as quickly as I have with that digital accordian ditty. And the Vaselines comparison is so spot on that I hope you'll excuse me for using it sometime in the future. Maybe.

    I was much the same, actually, especially recalling the dark smarts of Angelica. It was hearing Marc Riley play it for the thousandth time some day this week that it finally clicked.

    Has your copy of We Are Beautiful, We Are Doomed arrived yet? I got it from the horse's mouth (well, Spillers) at the weekend - really enjoying the album, though I haven't watched the DVD yet. Going to be another bugger to fit into the CD rack - see: the limited edition versions of Radiohead's last few albums...

    It has, yes. I like the way they've presupposed their audience, so there's a Polaroid cover photo, some badges, a picture of a cartoon robot and a booklet featuring contributions by members of Grandaddy and Xiu Xiu. (And a drawing of Tony Cascarino)
