In shops tomorrow: 8/1

No need to divide these up, this won't take long. The singles market has of course been thrown into utter chaos by the allowing of all downloads into the singles market, or at least the release schedule pre-empting thereof. We can however certify that Don't Let Him Waste Your Time from the we reckon not as good as most of our peers seem to think Jarvis album is being issued with an ace video. We do reckon the Nancy Sinatra version is better, though. Nick Cave's garage side project Grinderman are also putting out a limited edition 7" of Get It On, with a NSFW cover. Apart from the pre-Berlin Bowie albums being remastered again, the only longform of note is the second solo album, but first featuring English language songs, from Gruff Rhys, Candylion, a sunny psychedelic folk set that climaxes with the mighty Skylon!, not only one of music's few amenable fourteen minute tracks but also named after the Festival Of Britain construction that the underrated and similarly psychedelic folk (but not Welsh) outfit Candidate once wrote an entire album around. Whatever happened to Candidate? (checks Myspace) Ah, album in spring. As you were.
