A mass of new tracks arrived on our virtual doorstep over the last couple of days, meaning we should be fine for Tracklist and able to come just as long as nobody releases any new music in the next fortnight. As we like highlighting the new and underachieved, sometimes the more established get left behind for outlets with regular readerships to coo over. We don't like that. So here's the new Fleet Foxes, which for quite a while you half suspect is going to use exactly the same quiet introspective start before the mighty build tricks as the accursed Mumfords but then decides not to, leaving enough suspicion that they're only putting this one out so far in advance because it's the track most like their first album highlights.

The Kills are back too, Alison freed from the Dead Weather longeurs, Jamie being dragged down a dissimilar furrow that included his being taken off on Star Stories, and who'd have thought that possible around the time of Luxury Plane Crash. Having started as a Royal Trux who'd never heard Exile On Main Street and then become arrythmic chanting game beat slitherers, this first taste of April's fourth album Blood Pressures feels like it's being dragged down the gutter.

If you explained Star Stories to anyone at the time of Luxury Plane Crash, the first thing they'd do is form a posse and then descend upon the Channel 4 offices wielding flaming torches and demanding they stop now to avoid the horrors of the future.
